Good luck to all you guys getting ready to get out after whitetails again! Michigan opens October 1st Pa is tomorrow. Can't wait to see some hunting pictures. How are you applying lessons learned from last year? What are you doing different this year? One of the things changing for me is approach. Trying to hunt a little smarter also plan on spending more noon hours on stand.

Good luck to you Jed my friend! I'm definitely excited for my opener in PA tomorrow and finally Sunday hunting!
I'm going to sit a few more ground spots this year. My scouting on one of the properties I hunt has brought me to the conclusion that the deer have changed their patterns some. The farmer didn't plant any corn or beans this year and is putting everything up in hay so it makes sense. There is a nice stand of oaks with a lot of acorns that I'll be focusing on but I'll stay flexible and go where the deer are.

Our season here in Maryland opened up on the 5th. Goal this year is to take a deer with the trad bow. Gonna try to take it more. Can't kill with it if it's hanging in the house. Trying to build confidence
