I've been shooting a wing 52" 41# Red Wing Hunter.
I draw about 29-29.5". Bow shoots much better than I can shoot it.
I really am enjoying the short bow and light poundage but I hate to destroy it.
Do you think I will damage the limbs because it is such a short bow?
Have you seen marks like these before? They are on the bottom limb on the inside, just past the riser.
They feel like scratches running across the limb. All other bows I see starting to fail has cracks running in the direction of the limbs.

Those are cracks in the finish caused by flexing the limbs. A 29 plus inch draw puts an awful lot of flex into a 52-inch bow limb. The finish just can't handle it. Sometimes, the finish itself is the culprit. Other times, it's the severe limb flex. In this case, I think it's the latter.
Not all will agree with me, but I think your draw length is too much for a bow that short. A lot of older bows are well built and pretty tough, and you could get years of use out of it, and it may never fail, but those limbs are under a lot of stress, and it certainly could.
