Title: Bamboo arrow question
Post by: Pine on August 30, 2025, 03:57:19 PM
So in my endeavor to come back, I'm thinking of making some Boo arrows for my 35# Bear Grizzly.
I have made them for 45# but I'm not sure what diameter to use for the 35#.
Any input would be  appreciated.
Thanks; Pine

What kind of cane will you be using? Will you harvest it yourself?

The stuff they have in garden supplies.

There's better cane out there than that. Maybe someone can hook you up in here.

I may be able to scrounge up a few sticks of hill cane, one of 3 native to the USA. They make excellent cane arrows they will be well seasoned but raw, needing straightening. I'd be happy to mail them to you if you pay the shipping. If you are interested send me a PM.

I guess you aren't interested but I thought I'd mention it.  :dunno:
