I shoot mainly woods or aluminums with glue on inserts. I'm looking for a broadhead target to shoot regularly. Ive had bad luck in the past with quality foam targets eating heads. Usually use a straw bale but at the new place im living that's not an option.
I do a good job of cleaning and prepping my heads so I dont think its that. Thanks in advance.
You are talking heads coming off when you pull the arrow from the target? I think you're relegated to pushing the arrow through the target. Your choice whether to pull the fletching through or remove the head with heat then pull the shaft back out.
STRAW BAlES (not hay), and put them on a frame with a couple eye bolts so you can ratchet strap compress them. And target you shoot broadheads at is gonna get cut to shreds. A straw bale holds up great especially when you can compress it, and when it's time to replace, 7 bucks gets you a fresh bale. You wanna get real fancy, put a TS stall Matt behind it so you don't get pass throughs.

I missed in your post that straw is not an option. Hope you figure something out, foam gets cut up too fast.
Awesome. Thanks guys! Ive been shooting just a core out of an old target and its been working OK so far. No lest heads yet.
Big pile of dirt or sand. Not sand if there are a significant number of loose cats in the neighborhood!
Ive never found a target I could shoot with Snuffers, either lost the heads in it or they chopped up the target too quickly. :biglaugh:
