Sorry about the lack of pictures at the moment. I was able to get a quick video of this bow before little man decided he wanted to shoot a bow too. So we swapped over to him getting to shoot.

So here's a video of a hackberry backed Ipe English longbow. It's 70" tip to tip, 1" wide from center to 12" out, then tapers 3/4" midway between there and the tips, then to 3/8" at the tips. Tips are buffalo horn nocks. Handle is ostrich skin backed with 2oz veg tan to keep the ostrich from stretching and tearing out the holes. The lace is a double diamond braid out of 3/16" goat lace with 1/8" holes spaced every 1/4". The arrow pass is ball python rawhide, this stuff is tough and should take a beating.

I hope the video link works as it has most of the details. But the two attached photos are the speeds I got with 700gr and 1,000gr arrows. 162fps with the light and 145fps with the heavy arrows. And that was consistent across several shots. Same with before finishing out the bow. And one of the mid process of braiding the lace.

I'll try and get proper pictures this afternoon if the link doesn't work.

Thanks for looking
Kyle
