Title: Schrade USA 497 Restored
Post by: GrayRhino on August 11, 2025, 07:02:38 PM
I found this knife on the auction site. The carbon steel blade was rusted and had seen better days. I set out to replace the stacked leather handle with birch bark and restore some of its former glory. It was a good learning experience, along with making a sheath for it.

Birch bark as  handle layers is very neat. I love that sheath, looks very secure.
Well done!
