Post by: Bryan Adolphe on August 09, 2025, 12:21:17 PM
Iam thinking this may not be a good idea ? Just finished up my footing jigs and was thinking of laying up a flare with this QS zebra concerned about grain direction .... Your thoughts ?

It would be better the other way.you could rip it and I-beam it or swope ends and glue it back together.

If you cut it up lams those will make pretty high performance limbs with that vertical grain in the core. Some of the fastest long bow limbs I ever built used zebra and paduke cores with Uni carbon back, and glass belly. Smokin!
