House Bill 1431, which fully repeals Pennsylvania's prohibition on Sunday hunting, officially passed both the House and Senate.
The bill now heads to Governor Shapiro's desk to be signed into law.
About time.
I've got some buddies in Pennsylvania that are very pleased with this decision as long as the governor signs it!
I will hold my celebration UNTIL Governor Shapiro signs it. I've lived in PA my entire life so I don't want to get my hopes up too soon.

Same.
IF signed, would it go into effect in '25-26 or not until '26-27?
From what I've read, Governor Shapiro will sign it. The Game Commission's board has a meeting scheduled later this month to discuss potential changes to Sunday hunting dates. I don't think it will change anything for this season though.
I believe that you are correct. I went online and the official statement is that further review and recommendations will be made. I interpret that in the setting of the pace of the wheels of government to mean NEXT season
Interesting. Grew up in PA.

Happy for you all in PA! I remember when the same happen in OHIO, except we had to deal with some stipulations for a couple of years before we could hunt Sunday like any other day.
A long time, like a really long time coming. Congratulations PA hunters.
Gov. Shapiro just signed the bill into law. Now it's up to the Game Commission to decide when we can hunt!
Getting closer! Let's just hope the Game Commission doesn't drag their feet on approving Sunday hunting for EVERY Sunday by next season.
No dog in the fight per se' , ....other than as a voice for hunters. Which borders should not contain our voices ......Sunday hunting should have been passed YEAR AND YEARS ago in all states . Let the individual make the decission to hunt or not . Not the overpowered Government nor religious groups . If a farmer doesn't want hunters on Sunday , respect his/her wishes as owners of the land, but you would still have the option to find somewhere for your limited time in life to hunt on Sunday should you want to !
I hope to hunt PA at some point . Lots of my kinda land , so I am watching this one. :campfire:
