Picked up my new Bivouac - Hill Jack from Jim and Georgia last week at Compton's
Getting it dialed in and really liking it so far. Fit and finish is spot on. Limbs are really trapped on the belly like a true Hill Style bow, not a rectangular limb cross-section that many claim as Hill style.
Burnsie, that's one 'helluva' good looking bow right there. Jim and Georgia make 'em to shoot good also.

Very Classy!
Very sharp bow! I talked to Jim at Compton and was very impressed with their Hill Jack bows.
Looks good to me
I've always admired Jim and Georgia's bows. A few years ago at Kalamazoo they were selling blanks of a very similar bow. It was before I was making selfbows so I bought one, finished it and used it as my hunting bow for a couple years. I'm sure with the demand for their current line up of bows they don't have time to offer bow blanks. It was a very fun project. After seeing yours I think I'm going to trap the belly. Mine is a bit blocky while yours is smooth and sleek. I'll probably taper the tips a bit more. If I can find a photo I'll send it along but in the meantime, you've got a beautiful bow! Thanks for posting.
Here's a couple shots of a bow I made from a Bivouac blank. Burnsie's Hill Jack has inspired me to round the edges and taper the tips some more.
Very Nice :clapper: !!!!
Thanks - Guys!
Are you the guy who brought your bow by my vendor tent? If so I really liked it. I liked everything about it. Liked the grip, and the way they trapped the limbs. I'm also a fan of colored glass. It's a sweet looking bow.

Yep - that was me - bought a leather arm guard from you too. I was hanging around to talk to Mark Stotler as well.
I thought so. Was good visiting with you. Mark's a great guy. Got to know him last year at Cloverdale. He loves napping arrowheads. Good luck with your new bow. If I was in the market for an ASL that would be the one.
Love my Union Jack. Jim and Georgia do fantastic work.
I have a new Hill Jack also. Smoothest ASL I've ever shot
I'm thinking I might have to get myself on the list for a Union Jack now.
Do I need it? Probably not, but it would be a good companion bow to my Hill Jack.
Sweet Bow! Anybody own a Whisky Creek longbow and how do they perform?
