Here's a little paddle bow I've been working on over the last couple months. It turned out to be a pretty good little shooter. Took about 1" set and theows a 500gr arrow right at 150fps. It's 52" ntn, handle is 1 3/8" wide, 3" fades to 2.5" wide to mid handle, initially tapered from midlimb to 1" nocks, then reappeared the last 8" or so down to 3/8" nocks. The spoonbill skins are from one of a pair I snagged this spring and are glued down with hide glue. The spoonbill skins are quite tough, harder to rip that deer rawhide and just as thin. After drying it has a rough texture kind of like sturgeon skin, just more fine. I ended up going with sharkskin and lace for the handle wrap.
This one was a fun build

Just didn't have space for the chronograph photos on the initial post.
Thanks for looking
Kyle
Nice job!!
Really cool bow, Kyle. I like the paddlefish skin backing and the shark skin handle wrap. The texture on the handle wrap should give you a good purchase on the handle. Well done.
Lovely Paddle style bow, and I really like the fish skin covering!
Looking good :clapper:
You are talented Kyle - always look forward to your creations.
 very cool well done Kyle !
As always Kyle youre here proving once again you are the man! Nice work
Very nice Kyle. What draw length did you get out of this bow?
Another nice one Kyle.
You bringing it along to MOJAM this year?
Thanks guys! This was a fun build that I'm happy with how it turned out.
I managed to get right at a 27" draw out of it. That's where I started to see noticeable set and a bit of temporary string follow after shooting.
Not this time. I kinda wish I held onto it a few more weeks. But it's already off in California being played with.
