At the bottom below where you type your message, click on "Click or drag files here to attach them."

Then your picture files will open, so search for the picture you want and double click on the picture you want and  You will see the picture then.

Not sure what accents to put in here , any wild ideas?

Wish that dark streak woulda been 3/4" to the right, you can see the pencil outline of riser.

It may end up in the throat of the grip so that will be cool too...

Changed plan as usual , gonna stack on a bocote scrap and cut

Bocote will be on palm and little piece on back . Glued up the slicker thing both sides at once

If it turns out I'll get a pic and if not it'll be back to the scrap pile ...

Kenny what plywood did you use for the form

Either AB or ACX depending on what I can get at the moment.  A 3/4 , a 1/2 ,and a 3/8 make about 1.540

I clamp together and check thickness and straightness standing on edge on bench. Most plywood has a little curve in it so I try to make them work together to be straight as possible. Then sand a few thou off and try to end up about 1.515" so glass doesn't hang over edge if I put a piece on the face.

The 3/4" holes take a square 9/16 peg of osage nicely(might have to round corners very slightly tho)...

Then mule tape, air hose, and zip tys to hold bow parts in line...

Guys, got form done and lams and glass ready, need to grind the riser fades and I'll be ready to glue.

Pics are a huge PITA so I may just post some of bow when done...

Hey Kenny, the picture thing isn't a pain once you figure it out. Just click on that box below where you are typing that says " Click or drag files here to attach them"

It gives you an option to choose location of files or pictures.    Kirk

Yeah, I got that part but I have to email them to myself nowadays or get them to a resize site. Used to be able to choose a size when I posted but Apple upgraded I guess and like most improvements, it screws something up... :knothead:

Kenny,  I don't know if this app is available for iPhone but if it is (or something like it) you can quickly resize a photo or a batch of photos to the size needed and insert them out of the gallery.

Here's a screenshot of the app I use.  The screenshot had to be resized and it took less time than it took to type this reply!

It looks like you are having your riser belly against the form?  I did that on my first form and had problems with the riser sliding at glue up. My forms I made after that i put the back against the form that way it naturally wanted to center itself down in the dip. I found it less difficult to keep it from sliding. Maybe I am looking at your form wrong.

That form started that way and I changed it, but don't remember why.  But... using ziptys a few inches from center it's easy to tighten alternately and move that riser in the stack anywhere you want and it stays no prob.

Okay. Thanks for the tip. I have one more bow to make on that form then I am probably scrapping it

62" forward handle , other form warped a bit so built a new one topless.

Made it longer but won't build over 60" on it , bow is a little noisy seems. String is too close to limb at tip for my liking .

43@28 for youngest son, he gonna target shoot with it so quiet won't help there .
