Title: Replacement Rubber for Catquiver?
Post by: dennis502 on May 23, 2025, 09:01:31 AM
All-

I'm looking for suggestions on the best source to replace the rubber/foam on the bottom insert on my Catquivers (the end where the broadheads go- not the foam on the fletching end).

I have 3 quivers and all have the foam worn out from years of inserting and drawing broadheads. I'm hoping to replace with the similar material as it works great.

Thanks!

Old truck mud flap works well

I have several chunks (about 50 ft x 4 ft of it) of old conveyor belts from a gravel pit operation (here in Alaska).  It was scrap, I got it free, to use to built some arrow backdrops.  Seems like this (or something like it) would work great at the bottom of a Catquiver.

I read somewhere about using yoga mats in a quiver I'm sure you can cut it to fit

I've got another idea... Google up "rubber fish cleaning mat"... I use one for cleaning salmon on the river... That might be a good DIY material for this application.

Thanks for the replies so far. I don't have access to old conveyor belt, and in looking at fish and yoga mats the materials don't seem the same (not as durable) as the original catquiver material, but more importantly are almost as expensive as a new quiver!

Let me approach this differently.... anyone know what type of material was used for the bottom portion (where the broadheads go) of Catquivers? If I know the material, I may be able to find something similar....

Thanks!

What size are you looking for???   I have an old CatQuiver 3 that you can have the rubber off it if I can find it.

How about cutting a piece of the sole of an old shoe/sandal/flip flop?  Mouse pad?  Sometimes I go to the local thrift/goodwill stores and look for stuff I can get cheap and then cut it up to use for projects like this.  The rubber pads in both of my Catquivers aren't very tough material.
