Bow arm shoulder (right as I am a lefty) is getting worse. Shot with some buddies this evening and was only good for about 20-25 shots. A buddy is dropping off a rh longbow (35#) for me to work with. I am a bit intimidated at the thought of switching, but it might keep me in the game a while longer. Wish me luck!!
You should be able to switch fairly easy. I learned to shoot with my teeth during my ulna tendon healing span.
Good luck Mike.

Sorry to hear this Mike. Good luck with the switch.
Are you left eye dominant?
Had similar issue 15 years ago and had to switch to lefty. Felt odd at first but eventually got used to it. The only issue I have is shooting at longer distances (40 yards). I shoot instinctively but at that distance I see the arrow point and it does not line up as I am right eye dominant. It is a little distracting. Before switching I had put up with years of shoulder pain. Wish I would have switched earlier. Good luck. Be patient.
Thanks for the input and encouragement. I am very much left eye dominant. I shot an old Stemmler 66", 20#@28" RH recurve yesterday for about 50 shots. After a dozen or so shots, I actually shot pretty well. I need to find some lighter spined arrows for it, but at 10-12 yards what I have is okay. Once I moved back past 12 or so yards, the poor arrow flight was a lot more noticeable. Just need to remember to take things slow and not push it too hard on the bow weight.
I just switched from right to left. I use a sight, it helps a lot, I am right eye dominant but losing sight in that eye, so binocular vision is going.
good luck to you! you should be able to get good with practice. as a kid, I used to shoot righty because I didn't know any better, even though I am left handed and very much left-eye dominant. we shot both ways, actually, because most bows were righties. it would take me a while if I had to switch, but I'll occasionally take a shot or two with a buddy's bow and I can still do ok!
Good luck Mike!!
Good luck with that. I believe you'll adapt pretty quickly.
