Title: Camo for Bear Super Kodiak
Post by: UrsusNil on April 27, 2025, 01:39:29 PM
I'd like to use my Bear SK for turkey this spring and would like to camo those black glass limbs a bit. Would bow socks or tape affect performance? I don't want to use something semi-permanent like paint, the bow is just too pretty for that!

I had an old Bear takedown that a friend gave me. It had zebra striped Ted Nugent style sleeves on it. It was super fast so for fun I took them off and it slowed way down.

All jokes aside, I can’t imagine adding a set of sleeves would affect performance in any meaningful way. Not at my level of perception anyhow.

I have zero experience with tape on my limbs so I can’t comment there.

Look into limbsations . Easy on and off. Many patterns to choose from . They are a sponsor here.

I put a heavy coat of wax on my SK then cover it with hockey tape.  Cheap.  Just use plenty of wax and don't buff it before taping.  JV

genbo X2. Use Limbsations. Easy on, easy off. Here are two of my bows with Timber Rattlesnake and Copperhead Snake Limbsations on them. Limbsations come in all kinds of designs and camouflage patterns.

Limbsations, easy to install and no harm to limb finish.
