I have only hunted turkeys one time and that in the spring. Anybody here hunt them in the fall? I am thinking about trying a fall hunt. I would appreciate any tips.
Fall hunts are a little less dramatic. None of the breeding frenzy going on. It is effective to just find a good spot between feeding and roosting, and cluck quietly like a happy hen.
I hunt them in the spring and fall and believe they are easier to kill in the fall. I say this because they pattern very easily, see them one day after the next at the same spots approximately same time. Just set up ambush point and wait. This week I got my spring bird on Wednesday, the first day I got the ok to shoot my from the eye DR.
Congratulations Randy! Nice bird.
Thanks guys.
