I have a fedora xcellerator 42#@26".Need suggestions for aluminum arrows.Want finished arrows to be 27" with 125gr. head.
I would guess 1816 or 1916 to start. Maybe even 2016. I have a BW longbow 40@27 that loves 2114s but that is on the stiff side. I shot 2115s out of a Fedora pulling 49@ 28.
For 125 grn point 1816 is a real good start for a 27" arrow. You may need a 1916 though with a quick bow like that.
1816's should fit the bill but you end up with a pretty light arrow IMO.
i shoot a 1816 cut 28",100gr head, and 5" feathers. shoots like a dream out of my 45# gamemaster....and thats at my 26" draw. these gamemasters always pull heavier than listed but just right at 26" :)
also that arrow finished is 395grains
1816s weigh 9.3 grains an inch.
If one could get tapered 1820s where would they come in at? Perhaps they would need a heavier point for a forty pound bow at that draw length.
Fedora's like stiff arrows.
