My 66 ntn RD bowform have a moderate curve so if I draw a straight line from nock to nock that line hits the back of the riser. Now I am making a new form and I want to «pump» it up a bit to increase preload, but not so I make the bow unstable. I am thinking now to have that line one inch in front of back of handle, that will be for a 64 inch ntn bow. My question is then, how have you designed your form? There is of course a lot of variables, but as a starting point. Thanks.

You should try a long thin power lam like kirk does on his bows and maybe the tip wedge also on you old form. :dunno:
Your Norway/English is not clear for me, but you want more reflex? :saywhat:

Most accurate R/D design I have ever shot-Like Max suggests I would play around with PL`s etc to gain more performance but keep that design. Have you run the bow through a Chrony?

Max and Stagmitis. Yes, I am thinking more reflex. The riser lenght is tip to tip 22 inches and the .003 taper I use goes the last inches into a reverse 004 taper, kind of integrated tip wedge. This design shoots pretty good as it is, I just thought to make something different.
I tested a 56,3 pound at 28 inches shooting through two chronies set up in a tandem figuration to make sure I measure straight arrow flight. 16 strand Fast Flight plus. Measured in shooting machine.
28 inch draw 9 grains pp 191 feet
28 inch draw 10 grains pp 183 feet
29 inch draw 59,4 pounds 9,5 grains pp 191 feet
30 inch draw 62,6 pounds 9 grains pp 200 feet

Thats excellent speed bue! Faster than most R&Ds especially for a 66" length- I have a 60" Thunderhorn that does 174 fps a 10 gpp and the tips are in line with the back of riser. Take the D97 strand count to 12-14 and you will pick up a little nore speed.
Cant wait tio see what happens when you add more reflex!!!

Those are not bad numbers at all Bue…. I run a pair of .002 forward tapers and a 30” long double ended powerlam I wrap around the back of the riser, and then use an 8” tip wedge . Keep in mind it goes in the form at 68” long for all 3 sizes 62”, 64”, and 66” . So the actual finish tip wedges are shorter as the bow gets shorter. This helps me keep the same limb dynamics, and the same working limb length.

I’m happy to get those speeds with a recurve and I don’t get that very often

Lets be clear 1 more time Bue, The bow speeds are a glass bow?
I did get 182 GPP with a Bamboo backed Ipe.
