Let's see some of your memorabilia and or keep sakes that you are still hanging on to.
I'll go first.
I have my dad's hunting knife and a few years ago I was getting read to clean up the handle and refinish,  clean up the scratches from the blade and make a new sheath.
Then I had a thought, all the marks and wear are stories. Like dressing out deer, moose, rabbits, squirrels, the list goes on.
I think it's perfect just like it is.

Lost my Dad's antler handled hunting knife his grandfather gave him from Solingen Germany.  It was in the pack that disappeared from my F-150 along with a Longbow, a Martin recurve, plenty of other wool camo, knives, optics and stuff.  Sharpest knife I ever carried.

This is my carry group for most hunts.  Buck Lite 422 with camo nylon sheath was the first hunting knife I bought circa 1973, and it rides my belt for first blood on every trip.  The Lil Shaver will be riding my neck on special hunts.  There will be a couple extra skinners on long hog hunts that might require them.  Spyderco bow river is my main neck knife.  Both neck knives are distorted.

The two knives on top are Iron wood burl, made three years apart by the same maker.(Paintman)  7 1/2" pig sticker and 5 1/4" utility knife.  Nessmuk replica.  Lil shaver and Shrew Hawk.  Buck 422.  Gives me enough to get most tasks done.
