Went out this morning for a quick fix. Carp were spawning and splashing till the sun and wind got on the water. Then all was quiet. First shot drew a carp scale and the second the fish pulled off. then I got these guys.

Nice
That gar is a much smaller target eh.
Nice job Brian! Those small gar make tough targets.
YUM...good eating too!
Brian:
Some nice shooting there Buddy, I been really busy working on Bow laminations the last few weeks, hopeing to make it to the Snows shoot in June. Maybe I can go with Ben, I'll give Him a buzz....ONE SHOT... :) :) :) :D
Congratulation Brian good shooting!
Were you in a boat or wading?
I am going up to northeast Oklahoma this next weekend, hopefully the carp are "in the mood" while I am there. Congrats on those fish!
Tom I was walking the bank. Wish I had a boat.
Congrats! Nice freakin catch there. May I ask, what did you do to dispatch the Gar? The one I shot lived for a while after I shot it. Did you have to bludgeon it?
I stomped on his head. Even after that he still was flopp'n around. He even flipped out of my hand before the pic.
Good job Brian, nothin like daybreak at the spawn when they sound like hogs wallowing,eh?
Cool thanks for the tip. I picked up a Tball bat at Wal-Mart for $10. A little longer than the commercially sold "fish bats" and just effective.
Well done!
Now that's the kind of fix I've been jonesing for.
