I will have some of my custom knives in the Steamboat Sharpener booth. Stop in and say hi.
-
I'm spitballing here. What would be the best way to get there form CA, drive or fly into Grand Rapids
then rent a car. how cold is there to campout or get a hotel, I'm wondering how much this would
cost me. Have to add it all up $$$ and see what the weather looks like if I drive, and best place
to say in town. Flying cost around $340.00 so far.
-
The weather can be anywhere from 50 and rain and have seen very cold and blizzard conditions. So far this year it has been way above normal temps. There are several hotels close. I would do a google search to find one with a good rating and in your budget. I know a few that stay at the Residence Inn
-
THANKS, Yah I didn't think that thorough LOL, camping in the starting of winter :knothead:
getting from Grand Rapid to Kalamazoo is there an easy way or do you rent car. thanks
-
Earl, there are several hotels in Kalamazoo within a couple miles of the expo, check them out as some will offer a discount for people going to the show. Kalamazoo is roughly half hour straight south of Grand Rapids very easy to get there. Safe travels if you make the trip.

Best bet would probably be a car rental. If you do make stop by the St Joe River booth and introduce yourself to Tracey and me
-
You can fly in to Kalamazoo.
-
The airfares just went up from yesterday by $200.00 now it's $540.00, I wonder what the hotels will do.
the old timer at the club said to me, you can buy a very nice recurve bow for the price of
going to Kalamazoo and there right, now that makes sense to me. :o
-
Matt, Devon, and I will be there Friday afternoon
-
I added up what it would cost me. around a $1000.00 + there and back, I see a very
nice bow for that, but get down to reality my FJ Cruiser needs tires, wish I was able
to go to the expo or buy a new bow :dunno:
-
FJ Cruiser tires will run you over $1,000, ask me how I know. ($1,300)
:campfire: :coffee: :archer2: :campfire:
-
I would love to go to it but our rut goes from mid January through February 10.

I don't think I will be able to make it this year, but I got an email from my friend who took over the archery club at Michigan Tech after I graduated, and the club is organizing a weekend trip to the expo for anyone who is interested in going. I'm jealous that we never did that while I was there!

Great forecast for the weekend. If you are on the fence about coming you can not let the weather stop you
-
Earl, I agree.
-
Eeeek TOMORROW! :bigsmyl:
-
How was this expo for you that went. Did anyone walk away with a new/used bow. tell
us what you pick up.
-
I sold a set of Bear Takedown Limbs at the TCAT show on Friday, then sold another recurve on Saturday at the consignment rack.
Then added a new bow to the inventory that I ordered last spring at the Compton's Big Game Classic....which is an absolute stunner.
Stayed Saturday night at the hotel and hung out with a big crew until the wee hours of the morning.
With the camaraderie every year, the trip to the expo is always a net positive.
