It took almost a year, but I'm happy with the end result. The room is 20'X28' with 19' ceilings. The collar ties are from a 1758 button factory. Hopefully in a couple months I'll have a few African additions. Let me see yours! (//%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m84/TJReceveur/RoomAddition1.jpg)[/IMG]
Maybe I should try again! (//%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m84/TJReceveur/RoomAddition2.jpg)[/IMG] (//%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m84/TJReceveur/RoomAddition3.jpg)[/IMG]

As everyone can tell, I'm a real computer wizard. Sorry for the multiple posts. The cat is always on his best behavior in the room. He knows if he so much as looks at something wrong that he could be next! : )
Wow!
Beautiful. Love the matching mooseheads.
That is awesome!!! A nice place to hang out.
Thanks! I am living the dream! I am very blessed to have the means and an understanding family. I wish I knew what I did to deserve such a great life cause I'd sure share the secret, but I just have to be greatful!
That is awesome. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Absolutely amazing! Who knew a room could also be a piece of art...
great trophy room, awesome moose!
i'v always liked all wood trophy rooms
Awesome !!! Where did you get the moose ?
That's very nice, but the little Woman's going to have a hard time dusting that Caribou and Turkey.LOL
I need one of those.Very nice. Can you PM me about your moose hunt?
VERY COOL!!!!!!!!!! :readit:
Congrats to you !!! Enjoy it all and keep shootin straight. Joe
I may have to move to a certain room I just learned about in Kinderhook, NY...... :goldtooth:
David
What a beautiful room! Congrats. You did a heck of a job.
Wow!!
Thanks everyone! I'm really enjoying the room. I'm sure the dusting will probably be a once a year event for the tall critters. I killed both moose on DIY hunts in Alaska. One was 66" and the other 61". Only one of them was with my recurve. Most of the animals were with the bow. Some were from when I was younger and still toting the smokepole.
David, I'll leave the light on! The stripers are also running good in the Hudson right now. I caught several over the last couple of days. A nice 40" this morning. Just finished feeding the whole family and several guests on grilled rockfish! Let me know when you want to go!
Awesome room. I need to get me one of them.
That is a well thought out room and looks very nice! Joseph
Love those MOOSE!
Terry, That's awesome bud!! Hopefully soon you'll have another big buck hangin'
Thanks Curt! When you coming up to see it in person. The stripers and carp are running. We can fish in the afternoon and shoot carp at night. Tell me when and we're set. When you get the buck done, I'm certain it will be the best mount I own. You do amazing work.
Joseph, hope all is well in Montana. Did you get to Billy's wedding?
That is a great looking room Terry. I love the two moose heads. They are really awesome! I enjoyed meeting you at the PBS.
Bill
WOW, that is the room of my dreams. I hope to have a few of those kinda trophies in a few years. Great room!!!
Hope you don't mind, but those photos need to be seen better:

Nice room brother!
The first photo (also second to last on George's post)... looks like someone (probably me) got bust by all four animals off to the left (the critters right) :smileystooges:
Mike
Incredible!
Absolutely gorgeous! I'd walk in and never leave.
Love the fact your also humble about it.
Wow pretty much covers it! No not really man that's awesome! Nice job.
Thanks George. I'm not real good at posting the photos.
Elk Ninja, that's funny! My desk is in the corner and they are all looking right at me. Pretty much like when I'm hunting.
Bowless, I'm a very blessed man! I have the most amazing wife and family you could ever ask for. I am so grateful for all I have been given.
Holy Swamp Donkey that is a nice lookin' room! Envy from me....
Great job! Good thing you left a little space, cause I expect to see some African game on the walls after this summmer's hunt.
Nice!!!!
Thats one beautiful room.. bet there'll be many stories goin on in there with all them heads hangnin on the walls. Nice trophys!! My dads got a nice lookin trophy room like that!! Congrats.
Nice, vary nice
Terry, Awesome room!
Did you put nailers (to hang the mounts) between the studs? Is it 16' to the vault?
When I build mine I will hang 3/4" plywood on the studs; then wainscoat over it.
Thank you for sharing.
JDSIII
From the looks of it, you're going to need another wing to add more trophies. Very nice room and trophies as well!
Gee George, you brighten up a room wherever you go! :p
Beautiful room Terry! I'll bet you don't get much work done when sitting in there - your mind must just flood over with memories every time you walk in.
Way cool, Terry. I especially like the one laying in the blue chair in the first pic. I might have to come see the room in person some time... You might need some more room for Jeff and Tyler's critters pretty soon!
Thanks everyone! I do love that room. I added the sofa and TV so I could be in my favorite place with my favorite people. I can have my family and my memories all in one place. It don't get any better than that.
I did inset some plywood in anticipation of hanging some heavy stuff. The wood is 1" shiplap. It is 19' to the peak.
Kevin, those boys of mine are definitely adding to the collection. As Guru stated above, I can't wait to get Jeff's 176" whitetail back. I still have a Sitka buck out and a turkey cape. Africa, well if I'm lucky, I may need another wing! : )
You guys are definitely of like mind! It is definitely all about the memories. I've got a bunch of stuff still in boxes to display on the shelves (mammoth ivory, antique books, etc.). I'll bring a box up and set it on my desk to begin unpacking. Next thing I know I hear the glunking of a bull moose approaching...
