Title: Arrow tuning
Post by: Nueces on September 01, 2023, 09:43:09 PM
42@29 center cut Toelke Whistler (shooting 3 under)
520 gr total arrow weight
30" 500 spine w/20 gr insert and 100 gr head
Regular nock and 3 4" fletch

Left/Right is great. Seem to get nock high regardless of nock height.

I've tried a lot of point weight and nock heights. It could me dragging my ring finger.

Any ideas???

How’s the nock fit? Might try 2 nocking pts. One above, one below

I have 2 nock points. Nock might be a hair tight but nothing drastic

How high have you gone with the nock point?  I've seen 3 under on some bows go almost to an inch high.

Ive had that from tight nock,,, use a broadhead file force it into nock close to file handle and rip the file out backwards a couple times..  arrow should hang on string just enough to keep from falling off string,, if you then shake the bow the arrow pops off thats how tight i like all my nocks

I played with nock fit and voila! That seems to cure it.

Slight differences make a difference.
