One more bow for myself again. This time Moso Bamboo back, Purple Heart core, Osage Orange belly, water buffalo horn nocks and arrow pass and leather round the handle. String will be polyester, BCY55 to meet IFAA´s competition rules. Laminates glued together with Smooth-On EA40 and the bow has got eight layers fo TruOil.
Shaping went almost normally but during tillering the extension slice at handle popped out (too much pressure during gluing?) so I had to replace it with new wood. I secured it with cone shaped pegs and so far the bow works fine. The bow is 69 3/4" ntn and measures 74 lbs @ 28".

Is that a True Oil finish? Love those horn tips . :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

Yes, TruOil, eight layers on wood and horn. Four on leather handle also to make it more water resistant.

TruOil for water resistance! Never thought of that. Something I'll explore.
