Figured I’d introduce myself as I’m now using the site more.
Picked up trad shooting this year after getting bored with compounds and shooting. Didn’t tKe long to realize I enjoy this much more.
Mainly a hunter, but do spend time shooting some tournaments and such with local guys. Have plenty of space to practice and get some reps in.
Currently shooting some loaner bows from a friend of mine. Wing Slim Line pro, and a Great Plains recurve. 47 and 52 # bows and I take lessons from one of the top local recurve shooters/coaches once every few weeks.
I’m finally looking at getting a new bow after unloading the wheels. I was a Hoyt fan before, and have eyeballed the satori. But I also got to shoot a Stalker recurve, and man was that sweet.
I plan to shoot at 55# or so, as I’ve been shooting 47-50 already and my coach didn’t see an issue with it.
Pros and cons between a satori and stalker? I like the stick bow feel and performance. I also like buying things from small businesses.
The satori is sweet and I’m a Hoyt fan. I can get the satori from my local shop for 700 out the door. They’ve sat on them for two years and the owner is a friend.
Thanks ahead of time and hope to contribute soon.

Two of my friends shoot Stalkers, beautiful bows and solid performers. I believe the Satori is ILF compatible so future limb choices are plentiful. I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

Out of town for work for a couple days, but going to make the decision between now and then. Or maybe both.
