Ordered some stuff from Bingham yesterday, just to say that they are still open. Sale and good prices on feathers and other stuff.

I wonder if it's a complete shutdown or a sale prior to selling the business. It's been around a long time and it would seem to dollar wise a good move to sell the bus.

I know that Elmont Bingham is retiring, and they were liquidating all their stock and shutting it down. I'm kind of surprised they didn't look into just selling the business myself, or maybe they did.... :dunno: :dunno:

So many of us got started using Binghams plans.. I still have the bow oven I made using their plans. The only thing I did different was to add castor wheels to the bottom of oven so I could store it under my build bench when not in use.

I spoke to him last month and he's retiring and not selling the business. I'll miss having them around. It was convenient for me living in Utah to use them for basic supplies and epoxy. I stopped by their shop several times when I was in the area and Elmont and his wife were very nice.

Really good price on feathers.

They'll be missed for sure. I've dealt with Elmont since the early 1980s and been to the shop several times. Great person to work with. Too bad someone doesn't offer to buy the business.

Sure is Stick- I bought all the fluorescent yellow feathers he ha left.
