Title: Distinguishing Wood Type
Post by: R.E. Seward on June 27, 2023, 11:52:41 AM

Hi All,
I purchased this RER LX a decade ago and I'm trying to figure out the wood type. From memory, I believe it was bubinga, bocote and chechen in some combination? Are you folks able to distinguish wood type?

This is my first post. I recently commissioned a Deflex/Reflex and was going to post this RER on eBay, but trying to be transparent on wood type. Any help is appreciated. Looking forward to getting back into the Hobby.[attachment=1,msg3034138][attachment=2,msg3034138][attachment=3,msg3034138][attachment=4,msg3034138]

Thanks
Randall

Bubinga in the center, Chechen on the outside of the riser. Bocote limb veneers and riser overlay.
