Title: My new Bob Lee short riser recurve
Post by: Doug in MI on May 14, 2008, 02:03:00 PM
Heres a few pics of my Bob Lee recurve with the new short riser. Its raining out or I would have gotten some better ones outside. This bow is smooth and quick, 56" 55#@28. I reaaly like the smaller grip on this bow.

Nice looking bow...there were a lot of Bob Lee's this winter in Kzoo at the show.  I think I'm saving my pennies for the 2009 show.  I plan on bringing some serious cash along this time since a $100 didn't seem to last long, I did buy a lot of stuff so that was cool.

I liked Bob Lee's booth and there were so many to choose from.  I'm really getting into the blind hunting and need a short longbow and I'm really going to need a takedown model.  I think I'm going to look at a takedown short longbow from them.

Doug I so wanted to drop the string on that bow before you bought it.Looks good and you made a good deal but I have 2-risers with a bunch of 58" limbs so I didn't rush and lost out.You will love it and I know what you mean about the grip the reason why I shoot Bob Lees is the grip with my small hands.Let me know how she shoots.Kip

I realy like my Bob Lee realy makes a graet bow. This is a Bob Lee "Hunter" it is a 56 in., the riser is 15 in., and there's definitely no problem with the site window, and there is no pinching, my D/L is 29"

Took the photos off, don't want to cause anybody any troubles.

Cody: I've only had the bow a little over a week.I bought it used off from here, it was made in 2008.
Havoc1: Its a Bob Lee hunter model in the gray durawood.
Kip: I'm glad you hesitated so I got a chance at it. I was realy considering a new one and this one showed up at exactly the specs I wanted.

I have shot a few other Bob Lees and they are nice shooting bows but the grip on this new short riser just feels right in my hand.Almost like it was custom made for me.:>)
This little bow realy thumps an arrow into the target and I like the 56" length. It doesnt feel short.
I am surprised that there hasnt been more talk about this new short riser of Bob Lees.
I realy need to get some better pictures outside to show it off.

I have to agree with you Doug,

I was really surprised at how well they shoot, and that there is no pinching. I also like the idea of being able to have other poundage limbs.  I did not purchase my new, but it was pre-made, like you say, " it feels like it was custom-made for my hand" quiet fast and accurate

Good luck with yours this season

Carl
