I have a Martin X-200 recurve I have had for years but finally decided to start shooting. It is 45# at 28”. I draw just under 30”. I have a dozen Beman ICS Bowhunter 400 shafts that I was hoping to use up. I would be adding (3) 4” shield cut feathers. Is there a possible combination using these 400 shafts with my draw? If so, what grain point would I use?

That's a pretty stiff shaft for that draw weight and length, but it might work. In determining your draw length, did you do it on a compound or a trad bow? If on a compound, you're likely to lose an inch or more when switching to a traditional bow.
Regardless, if you are drawing 30 inches, you'll be pulling about 50# of bow weight. A .400 deflection equals about a 78-79# static spine. If you leave the shafts full length, somerthing in the neighborhood of 250 grains (insert and point) up front should work.

Strip the existing fletching off one of your arrows and shoot it with whatever points you have, if it shows stiff, add point weight and if it shows weak, shorten shaft. 400s should be in the ball park for your setup. A lot depends on how close your bow is cut to center.

I used 400 Beman ICS up to almost 60# with 145-160 grain heads. 160 grain started to get a bit squirrely. Switched to 340 for heavier bows and point weights.
