Shooting in my back yard last night, I could not hit a Zepplin form the inside! Man that is frustrating!! I took a deep breath, mumbeled a few expletives and stepped off 30 plus steps. My target was a 1 x 2 inch of foil on a dirt hillside. Forcing concentration, I hit the target 3 times in 3 shots. Lose a little focus, the arrows are lanched in vain. My winter rust is pretty thick, I gotta remind myself to focus. How long does it take before it just becomes natural?

Bob: I've been shooting sticks for more than 50 years now. Don't know if it ever becomes natural. Always requires concentration. Strength and muscle tone from shooting also helps. But as you note, it's all mental. Well maybe not all, but most. Good luck.
Archery is definetly a Mental game....
Think positive, think your the best there is....
I should be real good, my ex used to say all the time...."Are you Mental are what".... :banghead:
You could apply a Yogism and say that archery is 90% mental and the other half physical. If you mind isn't in it fully its like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're gonna get.
WOW!!! Yogi and Forest all in the same post. cool
