Title: Something I wrote in the Corps(bowhunter appropriate)

NOTES ON STEALTH,
YOU MUST MOVE NO FASTER THAN THE WIND MOVES THE GRASS AND LEAVES AROUND YOU NOR MORE FREQUENTLY. SLOW AND STEADY IS INDEED YOUR WAY. MELD WITH THE EARTH SHE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU LISTEN TO HER AND FEEL HER AND HARMONIZE WITH EVERYTHING OF HER'S AROUND YOU. THIS IS HOW YOU WILL ARRIVE UNNOTICED AND REMAIN UNNOTICED WHILE YOU WAIT. PATIENCE IS THE ROOT OF STEALTH AND YOU ARE IT'S BRANCH. IT'S FRUIT IS YOUR SUCCESS. MASTER YOURSELF, LEARN TO BE AS PATIENT AS AN OYSTER AS QUIET AS THE PASSING OF TIME.
I found that in an old notebook/journal and thought it was something bowhunters could appreciate.

Curtis,
A very well thought out analysis for defeating a quarry that is visual reliant, like human beings.  Unfortunately most of the quarry that I bowhunt relies upon olfactory (nose; sense of smell) more so than the visual sight.

Although when hunting man a Marine sniper must contend with his quarry's greater intellect I find that hunting critters that smell better than a blood hound, despite being vastly inferior in the intellect department, is equally as challenging.  The honed survival instincts of God's critters relie more so on that sense of smell than that sense of sight that human beings have come to trust, almost exclusively.

Still, I like your analysis of taking advantage of the natural condition, moving with the natural flow of the wind.  There certainly is merit to your observation from a visual perspective.

Our wars, in my lifetime, have been almost always wrong. Warriors, in all lifetimes, are almost always heroes.

Stealth is hard to teach and harder to do.
Good thing to think about before heading out each time.
