Title: Chase, JC's eldest, "This is better than Christmas!"
Post by: JC on May 12, 2008, 09:36:00 PM
Some time ago, after multiple reports with straight "A"'s, 110% effort at wrestling and every other sport he was involved in, great attitude, helping around the house, his 13th birthday coming up this year (may 26) and in general being a fine son, I offered Chase the opportunity to get some limbs for my spare Morrison Cheyenne riser to get him into something more efficient than his current longbow in the hopes that he would be able to deer hunt with it this year. Chase though, is a die-hard longbow man...and though he really loved the gorgeous Morrison, he graciously declined the recurve. Now, I was completely floored. He was willing to give up one of the finest bows I'd ever had in my hands just so he could shoot a longbow. Well, I'm a sucker for a guy with conviction....so I sold that beautiful Cheyenne to another fine tradganger who will appreciate her, and in turn asked Chase what bow he would like to have, and if we had enough, I would buy it for him. "I want a Shawnee...with those new foam/carbon Dakota limbs like yours." Sure, and I wanted a Ferrari when I turned 16 too.   :campfire:

Thanks Bob, really appreciate all you've done for us.

Outstanding, Chase. Hard work is rewarded.

JC, I understand as a father of two and a stepfather of 2 more (all boys!) how proud you must be.

The bow is a fine reflection of Chase's accomplishments. Well done, all of you.

That is a REALLY old-fashioned haircut! It does my old heart good to see traditions being upheld. Hair (  :D  ), family, hard work and earned rewards...
Life is good. I sigh a happy little sigh.
