I just received this in the mail today with a nice letter from Ed Scott's son Justin. Its Ed's old hand ax that he used to make every bow that he ever made. It is pictured on an elm chopping block that Ed and I cut just before our first group bow class together years ago, where we taught guys to make our style of bows.
I will use and cherish it the rest of my life.

Anyone that ever took a class from Ed knew how amazing he was with this tool!

I think Ed would be happy to see it being used, I met and talked with him a few times at Compton, he let me shoot a few Bows, it was like shooting a piece of historic art, they looked so ornate and primitive yet shot so good, he was a friendly and amazing Man. Keep the tradition alive Mike.
