Post by: String Cutter on May 09, 2008, 09:48:00 PM
Anyone know where I could get a cardboard R/Dlongbow template? I have a friend that said he will build me a form but needs a template of what I want...

Glass. Was hoping some one had an old one I could maybe buy of one of the more popular R/D longbows??? Sold all of my bows except for a mild longbow. So can't make one myself....

Just pick a bow you like and trace it.

3 rivers has a blue print for about $7.00. Not sure it is for glass or wood, but what is the diff?

Binghams also sells blueprints and matching materials. I built 1 of their ref/def longbows and it shot pretty good and had a fairly straight riser section which is easier to work with for your first bow.

This is the form I'm using for my R/D glass bows. I have a separate contour drawing available (scale 1:1).
