It all adds up folks...it all adds up.
Last year we shot for $50,000, and we busted $75,000, so the challenge then was to raise it higher.
Who knows or not whether we get there or not....
Bud I do know we're gonna have fun either way, and the kids will sure appreciate it.
Here's a thanks ahead to everyone that will be participating in any way they can....and thanks again to Doug Campbell for all his hard work every year.
Lets do it man!! Lets give another great showing for the kids and crush this goal just like last years. It was said last year by somebody that is cost the hospital $75,000 to run for 1 day!! So if that is the case we gave them 1 more day with the lights on last year. Lets see if we can give them all we can to help the kids!!
It costs 1.2 million a day to run St. Jude according to the Fund Raising Web Site. So they need every penny we can raise folks.
:scared: Wow the number I heard was way off!! Thanks for the correction Dave!! Lets do all we can boys!! You never know what the money we raise will help them make a cure for and how that could effect your own life someday!!
If I'm even close to counting right we have close to 5000 new members since last auction so I think we can bust $100k with our eyes closed.
We had 5 pages of donations last year with some real big ticket items. We'll probably need 7-8 pages to break $100,000.
Not sure how many hunts are yet to be offered, but I know of 4....one fell off from last year due to the lease changing, but I just got off the phone with someone that wanted to offer one this year, and it'll make a good un...so I'm tickled we've made up for it.

75,000/day was what their tv ads said last year - BUT everything has gone up, as we all well know, so the new figure VTm mentioned, from their web site, doesn't surprise me much. In any case, we will do the best we can (I'm sure) and the best part is they will be grateful no matter what, and will put it to a blessed use. Great organization!

The cost to run St.Judes Hospital in 2008 will be $850.00 per minute. Or $1,224,000 every 24 hours.
I'm guessing (hoping?) that there are a bunch of people like me with things still to list. I have one item listed so far, but lots more to come!

There is a post for making those in the auction forum for when it begins. Doug will be more than happy to take that pressure out of your wallet.
You DO NOT have to wait to donate directly on behalf of Trad Gang...send your check to Doug NOW if you like, and it will go with the rest of the checks to St Judes, and count in the total.
