That is beyond EXCELLENT NEWS !!!! It reads to me "like" we are no longer required to even be vax'ed to go to Canada now , " without making a political stance" is the way to go as the Vax doesn't stop a person from spreading the virus with or without the shot/shots.  So the requirments were not warranted imho....

I am just VERY THANKFUL that I might be able to do a visit to my favorite remote place on earth once again ;)

Thank you for sharing the info  James ! :clapper: :campfire:

Be sure to read it and understand it before making plans, it still looks like they require a mandatory 14 day quarantine for those not vaccinated.  Glad to see them loosening up on the restrictions some what.

Read that through one more time. I believe the author of the article is referring to what was required earlier this year in regards to the 14 day quarantine.

This is from the Canadian gov't website:
COVID-19 border measures end on October 1, 2022
Starting October 1, 2022, all COVID-19 border requirements, including vaccination, mandatory use of ArriveCAN, and any testing and quarantine/isolation requirements will end for all travellers entering Canada whether by land, air or sea.

Long overdue.

Yep, my bad just reread a different article on it, the way it was worded led me to believe they were still going to require the 14 day quarantine. Still glad to seeit coming to an end.

Here's hoping the U.S. border drops the vaccine requirements also.

Headed to New Brunswick this Sunday for a week of Atlantic Salmon fishing on the Mirimachi and Cains rivers to end the salmon season. This makes the trip like past years at the border :clapper:

According to Reuters, New Zealand has dropped their requirement as well:

"The government will also remove all vaccination requirements for incoming travellers and air crew."
