In the old days when doing indoor target archery we used to add powder to the surface of our tabs but now haven’t done anything to my tab in decades.

Saddle Soap. Rub it on with a piece of cloth and wipe it off with a dry clean cloth.

I just use Coconut oil on my nylon surface tab, haven't shot the AL glove enough to need cleaning.

Put it in the pocket of a jacket and throw it in the wash machine. Let it dry by hanging it. I ve had my glove for 10 years and no harm.

I wash my Damascus gloves in warm water and soap, rinse well, put it on my shooting hand to reshape it then set it aside to let it dry. After it is dry I put it back on and give it a good rubbing with Montana pitch blend. I let it sit for a hour or so then put it back on and wipe any excess pitch blend off with a soft rag. I usually do this at the end of the season to get the salt out of the leather and again during the summer if needed. I've done this since I started using a Damascus glove over 30 years ago. Back then Damascus gloves cost $9.50.

I'd be careful about using any oils on gloves that might have parts that are glued together. Oils can turn the glue into goo. Using saddle soap worked into a lather then scrubbed into the leather, then removed with a dry clean cloth is the way to go.

No reason not to use that on non-glued items as well.

Be careful of using powder. I think I read somewhere some powders (maybe talcum?) can cause cancer. Did something like that happen to Howard Hill? I don’t remember for sure.
