As a rule I am a 3-blade guy, Wensel Woodsman or VPAs, but as I age I have a few lighter weight bows and am using some 2-blades with them. I know there are a lot of good 2-blades out there so that isn't the issue. However, today I was touching up some small Pearson Deadheads and some Magnus I Classics that I have mounted on some nice cedars and I thinking what a shame it is that they are out of production. I guess I understand the Deadheads as it has been a long time, but the Magnus I's have not been gone that long. If I was a younger man it would be tempting to try to track down who owns the rights to them and see if a deal could be struck. I have friends in the tool & die trade that might be willing to join an old businessman.

Magnus Mag I and Snuffer are a couple others.

I don’t know of any patents that still exist on most traditional flat blades. You can make them and sell them.
-
I never could get the deadheads to fly right - wanted to use them but couldent
I love the old stuff

Yes I’m glad I bought a whole heap of magnus broadheads right before I started having kids and slowing my hunting down- wish the magnus traditional line would re-emerge. Easy to sharpen and 5 out of 6 I could get to spin. Infinite choices with glue in adapters - maybe one day someone will take over. I’ve thought about it myself but just too many irons in the fire to make broadheads too.
-
I would love to see the old STOS broadheads come back. I think they moved from Colorado to Texas and then disappeared.
-
Plus 1 for bringing back the STOS. Talk about an easy one to get hair popping sharp. Were always a breeze to get to spin true and always flew great for me. I still have a half dozen 145’s I’ll save for the right occasion.
-
Plus2 for STOS heads. I have quite a few 160, and 145 grain.
-
x3 STOS. I only have one that was given to me. What a great looking head.
I have a dozen or more of the Magnus 1's. Nice head with a bit more width.
The Australian made Blackstump broadheads were a mainstay here. I believe they were among the strongest heads tested be Ashby. Shame they are no longer made.

Name your price. ;)

I mounted some Magnus II broadheads yesterday on some 60-65 Wapiti POC arrows for this season. I would love to see them put into production again.

I wish Bear would crank up the old "Green Monster" that popped out a Razorhead every 5 seconds...

I just found 4 Magnus Snuffers in my basement from probably 20 years ago. I screwed them on and they spun great. Shot the broadhead and FP's to the same POI at 20 yards without having to make any adjustments. I love it when a tune comes together like that! :clapper:

Excellent, I have found some 190's here and there.

Stos. Since I still have few Magnus and Snuffer.
-
Sorry Ozy, I don’t have THAT many🙁
-
The machine that made the old green Bear heads was destroyed according to what I have read

The big glue in snuffers.

That's very sad to hear....
They showed it at work on the DVD, AMAZING!!!

Some years ago, it crossed my mind to look into this very thing. However, I soon realized that since I had no metal working experience and was a bit too old, I probably should not try to follow through on it. Sometimes, I still think I should have. given it a try.
-
My vote would be for a return of the Magnus II glue on 2 blade.
-
160gr STOS has been my favorite broadhead for Elk for many years, fortunately I have a dozen or so left, I do wish the Magnus heads were still being made.
-
I love glue on broadheads, but the sad truth is it would only be a money losing operation for a new start up. A few that have been around a long time (like Zwickey) can still squeak a bit of money out of them. Magnus bailed out for a reason.
A lot of good ones gone but IMO probably the biggest loss is the Snuffer.

Slowbow;
I have to agree with you. Look at the number on glue-on options for any of the current manufacturers. I have been squirrelling away a couple heavy Snuffer heads here and there. Mainly from folks backing down in bow weight. Still have 1 STOS head mounted on a tapered Cedar someplace.

Another STOS fan.
-
I have a stash of 'deadhead' similars in Abowyer Whitetails. They are heavier for sure but have that wicked cut.
-
My thumb is where it stopped in the target. Not bad for a 40 pound bow shooting a 20 year old Rothaar Snuffer I had forgotten I still had some and found them last weekend. I shot them and all hit my ten ring. I sharpened them and decided to use them this year over my Magnus Killer Bee’s.
-
I wish the Zephyr Scirocco was still made, but I have stock piled up a bunch.
-
A couple old out of production heads. Razorheads are fairly available although some folks think they have gold by their asking prices.
The other head was one of my favorites and killed the big hog in my avatar photo. They are very scarce. Only have three left (with inserts) and one is in my quiver next to the No Mercys.

STOS!!!! only have like 6 left and so been hoarding them for a while now.

I’d like to see the old modoc chief’s too. I remember them from the old McPherson catalogs before we had 3 rivers and interwebs. Similar to HH heads
I think it was McPherson archery if I remember right. Lol. Been a while

I still have unopened pacs of the originals might be letting them go soon...

If 125’s I’d be interested :archer:

original stos came in 130 & 160

I like the Carbon Express Piledrivers but they have not been around the last couple of years. That said the more I try different heads, the more I find more that I like well enough. Like Magnus Stingers. Took two animals with them in Africa. They worked well enough.
Get em sharp, hit em in a good spot, they will die I guess.
