With hunting opportunity looking slim this season, looking for ways to keep sane. Will continue to shoot along side of house. May be an occasion to rotate through my stable.(that could be a blessing) Also, have been lucky enough to acquire a decent library to keep the juices flowing.
- Bowhunting: A passion for Life - Browning
- Whitetail Magic - Rothhaar
- In Pursuit of Trphy Whitetails - Rothhaar
- A bowhunters Tale - Lamb
- Silvertip - Windauer
- Just Another Old Bowhunter - Kidwell
- One Man's Whittail - Wensel
- Hunting Rutting Whitetails - Wensel
- Come November - Wensel
- One with the Wilderness - Mitten
- Bows of the Little Delta - St. Charles
G. Fred's books, Donnel Thomas, et al.
This website along with catching up with my PBS magazine, and a couple trips to camp/hunt hogs on Public Land, should keep me from losing my mind.

Keep the faith Michael !
This crazy world shrinks by the moment sadly....but...BUT ;) Where there is a will there's a way !
I have lost almost all the steeps and acres I used to hunt . Hunted those lands for over 30 yrs. Farms sold, freeways built....or over run with trespassers/poachers. Times have changed ......keep after finding "what ""You"" NEED" my freind. ...Like that old Rolling Stones song, ....You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you just might find ...you get what you need :^)
Best with your quest my friend.....May you find a place close to loose your arrows in practice , and for the hunt !

I hear you, Wudstix. I've been dealing with lost hunting access since the 60s.
I've always been a local hunter. I don't like to travel much to hunt.

Here in Texas I just can't afford access. Government land is my option being retired DoD, but that is weekends and Holidays only. I work PT then.

Wudstix, don't worry about maintaining sanity. Ask just about anybody, and they will tell you trad bowhunters ain't wrapped too tight to begin with. But ain't it fun marching along to the beat of our own trumpets?

Finished "Timeless Bowhunting" by Roy S. Marlow. Incredible book, well written and insightful. Thinking about "The Archer's Bible" by Fred Bear (revised edition)
