I had a deck built for my boat and took a couple pictures. I made it removable. It fastens with 3 turnbuckles. This makes it easy to take out my deck quickly if need be.

I will put 8 lights under the platform so there will be no way for the string to get tangled up. The platform extends 2.5 inches past the sides of my boat.
While I normally would not go around admiring someone else's deck, that looks good. The redfish better watch out! What are the boat dimensions? Looks like what I'm shopping around for. A combo duck/mud boat and bowfishing rig.
Its a 20ft by 4ft bateau built by a fab shop in Amelia, La. The side are 19" high and the boat is all 1/8".
Nice. I've been looking at an 18' with 35hp Go Devil. The removeable bowfishing deck is exactly what I've been thinking of.
I like that, I have a boat on the way next month. 14' modified jon boat, me and Joe are going to shoot us some fish out of our's
I got the ProDrive because I like sitting down while driving. The PD also has a neutral which I love, whereas the Go devil has to be manually held out of the water for neutral. Take a good look at the Pro Drive before you decide.
I'll do that. The Go-Devil I was looking at is the surface drive one. We used to sell them at my former place of employment.
Very nice, I found a nice carp fishing boat as well! I have no clue of make or madel but it is set-up to fish. The guy is never home and only a For Sale sign, I am leaving a note tomorrow. I like the removable platform, keeps the boat ready for some rod and reel fishing! Shawn
That looks great! It only needs some non slip surface such as outdoor carpet or astroturf. Nice! Dan
Grabwad, If you don't mind me asking "how much you got in the removeable deck"...I have a 1854 Phowler mud boat with a 36 Prodrive on it and love bowfishing off the front deck. You think that extra 1foot height is worth it? I'm on the fence about getting one...thanks
Are you gonna put any rails on that deck? Nice looking set up.
I got a special deal and don't have a thing in it to be honest. I helped the welder and he had the aluminum from another job. It was all drop offs. I have it that high only to allow clearance for the lights. I definitely wanted the lights to be under the deck and out of the way. I racked my brains trying to figure out how to make it removable and I thought about the turnbuckles and my buddy told me gatortail or mudbuddy already has this for sale on their website. I can't wait to get it riggged out witht he lights and give it a try. I plan to put (8) 150watt HPS flood lights around it so I should have everything lit up pretty good. I purchased 7 of the 8 I want off of eb$Y.
Moeller, I don't plan on putting rails becasue my son's bottom limb on his recurve will hit the rail if he shoots something close. Its happened before in another boat and we have been fishing with a buddy whose deck didn't have a rail and we didn't have any problems. I know it only takes one time for it to be a problem but I'm going to try it without a rail.
My buddy's rig uses a removeable deck using turnbuckles to secure it. He mounted the lights to the removeable deck and wired them so that his generator sat below the deck (his extended back about three feet into the boat. To use the boat for regular fishing or duck hunting he just unplugged the wres, removed the deck, took out the generator and off he went. Works really good.
Sweet! I'll pay for the fuel, let's go! ;)
Nice rig! :D
Sweet!....how are going to run your trolling motor? I'm running 4 HPS 150w off a 2000 Honda...my sons can actually hear me yell at them now!
Gregg,
Just finished up rigging my 1652 flat with lights. Ready to roll, just have to find the fish. Let me know and we can hook up and make a trip together. I can carry 2 others besides myself.
If you guys need an extra shooter I'd be happy to offer up my services. :D
Craig, I am in need of some good spots. If you can guide to the spot Ill be happy to take ya.
Pm'd ya Wayne.
This is what we are after! Both the smile and the fish!

Man you guys in La kill me. We can't bowfish reds here in Florida! What is property going for up there? ;)
Make sure to add some non slip strips or something, or else be sliding all over the place. I have Marine carpet on mine.
I have some non skid tape that I will put on the deck. Fish slime, mud and blood make for a slippery situation.
