When Rob Lee was making my bow last year he sent me the drop off bubinga from the riser I decided to make a couple of items the first was a t-handle allen wrench then I decided to try my hand at a Helle blade and make the handle not enough time or talent to do the blade but the Helle is a great blade and Chad is great to do business with even when you do something dumb he will help(tip: do not center punch inside of finger guard for the glue to adhere better it will show on outside).Anyhow I finished it nothing fancy like some I have seen here but it does match my bow (http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p191/Kip_album/2007_0212Image0055.jpg) the bubinga comes from my riser and I ordered some micarta and spacer material.I should have done a before and after but just learning how to post pics. (http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p191/Kip_album/2007_0212Image0058.jpg)I also made an unfinished file handle and a sheath is next.KIp

That is beautiful. Did you use a belt sander to shape it? I'm getting tired of the rasp!
Also, how does the leather belt loop go together? I need a diagram to see how you put it together and attach to the sheath.. :knothead:

Thanks guys I hope my bow can give it a lot of work in the coming years.
Wayne I have a bunch of 3 and 5 color spacer in black and white and some micarta and a little bubinga if you need some.
elk ninja Shoots better than me real smooth, tough and the grip is great. This is my second Bob Lee sold the first to get this one.I dropped it out of a tree this year about 14' not even a scratch although some eye candy this is my hunting bow and is not handled with kid gloves.Kip

Kip, that looks GREAT! Love the combo, and it's a cool thing to have a matching knife AND wrench.

Kip, you did a spectacular job on the shaping, not to mention the great design. Like the others, I love things that match. You really hit this one outta the park.

Too cool.

Man I love these knife threads.
Kip, beautiful work. Nothing better than a fine knife that also matches your bow. I just picked up a nice skinner blank to try my hand at making one. Now I just need to find some good handle material. Thanks for sharing.

I've said it before, the talent here is just endless..
VERY nice job.

KIP, Good job, I knew you could do it.
You guys should know that KIP was not very confident when he started this project. He did have a minor problem when the finger guard died from injuries sustained in a hammer and punch accident. But as I expected it turned out fine. In fact, real fine.
