Hi all,
I'm just grinding the lams for a couple of new bows. I always used 0.030" glass with this design. My stack numbers are - 0.375" stack for 45# with 30 thou' glass.
I've only been able to get 0.040" glass for these bows and was wondering if I should alter the stack with the thicker glass.
Thanks :)

What is the design? ASL? Recurve? R/D longbow?

Very little in my experience.

You can Grind the glass to .030 if you want, but it’s not necessary.
My experience is about .002 per pound on glass thickness on adjusting weight, but if your stack height is the same using thicker glass you won’t see a lot of difference in draw weight, but will loose a bit of performance in lighter draw weight bows due to mass weight increase…. But it’s splitting hairs on that too.
