Folks regarding the high performance strings out there, which material do you consider the quietest on a modern bow. And to be fair I am excluding B50 for B55 from consideration.
Thank you

To be clear, I don’t like puff balls, fur balls , stuff wrapped around the string. I like two catwiskers only on the string. The past years I have been using BCYX strings made by Chad at Champion Bowstrings. They are more than sufficient even on ILF bows with carbon limbs. Years ago I was getting ready for a out of state hunt using my Bear TD. I almost threw that bow down a ravine I couldn’t get it quite. Just for grins I put a B-50 string from another old bow on it and bow was quite. The FF string was D-97. I had a FF string made with another material and got same results as with B-50.

I use D-97. Since I haven't used other low stretch materials, I can't really say how it compares in loudness, though some others have reported that it is louder than some other low stretch materials. Regardless, it is quiet enough for my use. I use two small wool puffs on the string, which quiets them sufficiently.
It's interesting that M60 mentioned Bear TDs. I have several, and the D-97 is very quiet on a couple of them; not as quiet on a couple of others, and I have no idea why. Same thing with some of my ASLs. Models from one builder are pretty quiet. A couple of bows from another builder are not. All with the same D-97 string material, number of strands, silencer position and material, etc.

D-97 with small dynapuffs for me. I think D97 is a perfect blend of high performance but also less harsh than other materials

I can't say which is quietest but I really like D97. The ilf bow I have paired with it is super quiet.

I personally like a little give to the string.8125,D-97 and D-10 have a little give compared to other low stretch materials.

I've also got BCYX from Chad at Champion Strings on several of my bows. I don't have much experience with the other materials out there, but these perform well and are quiet on my longbows.

I have a ten rings string on my Big River 21st clone longbow and a D-97 on my Kota Badlands longbow. Both have paracord string silencers.

I make and use 28 strand 452X. Yeah it's fat and heavy, but I don't need pom-poms or built up serving, which cancel out the benefits of skinny strings and the minimal noise generated is a low pitch. No twang.
