I ordered some 2" rayzr feathers and they came in today . If I hold the feather looking back to front and they turn left . This I think indicates left wing correct? These are supposed to be right wing or do I have it backwards ? Thanks for the help . Drew
Look at the quill if it is on the left side or a backwards L from the back it is right wing.Kip
Drew, looking back to front if the heavy part of the guill lays on the left hand side of the feather they are right wing. If the quill lays on the right hand side of the feather they are left wing.
Sorry Kip, posted at the same time... Dave
Thanks guys , I was confused for a minute there . Drew
The only way to know for absolute sure is to crazy glue one on the inside of your pointer finger (between your pointer and middle finger.) They have to be pointing the same way they would on the turkey. :smileystooges: :wavey: Drew,
You got good advice above. It's getting late for me.
Congratulate Adam for me.

Drew, you can go to trueflight's home page and there are a bunch of ways listed. I had the hardest time bending my head around this earlier this year.
Thanks guys , yeah I just had it backwards in looking at the curve and not the quill.
Aram : I think I have it now but if you have pics from when you tried it I would like to see them :0) Adam says thanks . Drew
Another way to look at it is this. Put the feathers on a flat surface such as a table top. Place them so they are set like parenthese while looking down on them, like this ( ). The quill is set on the table, feather standing up. The one on the left is left wing, the one on the right is right wing. Easy way to remember.
left curves right. right curves left.
