Oh man i'm excited, i just landed 150 acres of awesome (private) hunting land. I have a friend of mine that i have known for about 2 years now and just found out that her family owns land in Waxhaw NC. Well thats just 30 minutes from me :readit: . after she found out i dont shoot firearms, but us a stick and string, she said yes.
I'll be scouting come next weekend for next Deer season, and they say they have turkey. So we'll see. Just had to share my excitment with you guys. WoooHooo.... :bigsmyl:
Paul.
sounds like you've got yourself a nice spot. Good luck!
I just love it when a plan comes together.
Are you married? Is she? :saywhat:
If not, it sounds like a match made it heaven! In-laws with hunting land - doesn't get any better than that! :bigsmyl:
 :archer:
Congratulations....use it wisely.
TradPaul,
Right place at the right time is my motto. Take good care and leave it nicer than when you arrived. Just always do that little something extra for this grand opportunity.
Whip, You and I seem to think along the same lines.
Fred
Whip,
LOL, yes i'm married and she is too so you guys are out of luck :biglaugh:
Thanks for the advices too, i'm sure going to take care of this property and it's game. I want to be able to have this as a healthy hunting ground for a long time.
Paul.
great stuff paul! great opportunity use it wisely
If the owners are on site, I sure wouldn't "overuse" use it.. If they see you every time they look up you won't be welcome for long... So, as others have said, use it very wisely and sparingly.. JMO....
Nice score! If that land has oak trees make sure you put a stand or three near them.
Pat, i hear that, and maybe i lucked out in that regard. cause no one lives there. Thanks ya'll so much for the advice, lord knows i need it since i'm new to this....
Paul.
i schlepped onto something similar. I married my wife last september, shortly there after I found out who was farming some farmland directly behind her parents house. I now have about 300 acres of private ground to hunt on. People really dont like guns on their property much when they see you with an "OLD" bow it brings back memories for some old farmers and land owners and you get permission. Since then I have cut wood, picked up trash, and helped mend a fence. I think I have a place for life now. Best of luck with your new place. Enjoy it and offer to share everything you take from the land.
