a sharp two blade..... look at 1816s ..id shoot a 28" arrow for broadhead clearance..... if you want to shoot a carbon ..look at the ce terminator jr .. they come stock at 28" and will shoot good with 150-175 up front...they are .628 spine...but will be a tad lighter than the 1816 aluminums..

I all ways leave arrows full length to start with. if you are interested in carbons 35-55 will work. that is what I shoot at 41#.

I shoot a 42 lbs longbow and am going to use Goldtip Entradas 600's. John Sullens at Sipsey River Traditional Archery carries them. He is a sponsor and a heck of a nice guy to deal with as well.

Both of my bows are 43# one is a longbow(whip) and one is a recurve (Bob Lee).  I use axis 500's they are working out so far, 125 G broadhead, Stanger two blade.  I'm using 125 G target tip.

I will be doing some testing with some other arrows, the arrows I am using I have only cut a 1/2" off, they are 30 1/2 inch.  My D/L 29"  Three fleached, left helical, 5 in. feather.  Total arrow weight 439 G

yep the gold tip entradas and the epic 600s would also be a good choice..... the other .500 spine carbons suggested are quite stiff even full length ..unless loaded heavy on the point for a 40# bow.
