Had some time today and wanted to check out and see what kind of speed these bows have in them.
Bow # 1 is a Morrison 60" Cheyenne Take down recurve. Bow is marked 52# @ 29" and scaled right on that.I draw 29 1/2"and scaled in at 54#.

I used the same arrows for this and they are 30" 2018 ith 4-5"feathers with 125 gr. points.
I shot 5 arrows each and this is what I got.
Morrison--------- ---- Bob Lee
206 ----------- 196
203 ------------------ 197
211 ---------------- 195
210 ------------ 196
203 ----------------- 196
I don't know if I proved anything but was fun anyway. As for bow preformance the Bob Lee seems to be a smoother shooter as is very stable and almost no shock at all and a little quietier and this is without any string silencers on it.
:wavey:
wow...the DA is neck and neck with the morrison. impressive. a bowyer told me you gain about 3fps per pound so there should be about 12fps difference using the same arrow. nice sleek looking bow
I'm thinking real serious about another Bob Lee I have a 54" one piece hunter 46@ 28" my next one will be 58", Lee makes nice bows.
Wow! Easton 2018s weigh 12.3 Grains/inch. At 30 inches, with knocks, 4- 5" feathers and an insert and a 125 gr point you should be at a minimum of 525 grains on those arrows. That means at 10gpp your Bob Lee will smoke any recurve on the planet!
By the #'s Looks you get a more consistant anchor w/ the Lee bow or are you at the point it starts to stack?
Your Morrison #'s vary up to 8fps?
Either way pretty impressive
I keep hearing a short Bob Lee recurve calling. My Lee TD Hunter wants a buddy....
Plus I shoot to DA a little better but haven't shot the Morrison as much
