Just stopping in to say hello.
I figured I better find out about the apparent addicition my husband is under the spell of.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em right?
No really, I am happy to see him meeting so many kind people, he thinks and speaks highly of you all. I mean he did try to golf..so I should try to bow. Right? Is that a word?
Looking forward to meeting my new extended family.
Connie :wavey:

Shell and hubby (on hubby's login)
Hello and welcome. Connie
Yep, I am coming to Compton.
Do you golf Shell?
I am game for that...not sure Kenny is though...lol
Thank you all so much for the welcome....
There is no way I could spy on Kenny here....I could never keep up, now typing faster than him, that is the easy part....
Cya,
Connie
Welcome to the best virtual campfire on the web! Glad to have you Connie.
Hang around Gal....and you can get your addiction fix as well....
The St Judes Auction is not far away!!!!
Hey Connie! Good to hear from you, Welcome
:campfire:
Hi Connie! welcome to the gang. I met Kenny at ATAR last summer and must say, he's a super nice fellow. when he comes back this summer please join him. you'll have a blast for sure.
Danny :archer:
Hi Connie!
You really need to go to some of the bow hunting stuff with Ken. My wife does not hunt or shoot but always goes with me just to see all the other women she has made friends with over the years. It's a good time, and nice to see you here!
Goose
Connie, all you have to do is go to his profile and "view recent posts". He won't be able to get away with squat!! :D
I hope to meet you at one of the shoots.
Killdeer :wavey:
welcome to this big happy loving family mrs connie. 4runr's wife :clapper:
Thanks again for all the welcomes.
My first outing will be the Comptons...what ever that stands for....lol
Hey Kildeer, thanks for the tip....*grin*
He did make me my own bow, and I have to say, I enjoy shooting at targets..but to like it more than hitting a golf ball at a target, not sure.
I mean you have to go get the arrow and go back to your spot! In golf you get to walk up to the ball and smack it again! I will have to ponder this....
Connie, Welcome aboard! I'm sure you will enjoy the company around the campfire...good family for men, women, and kids here and at the shoots. Doc
I saw the topic and thought, "Oh no, his wife must be sick, in the hospital, in a car wreck" and is asking us all to pray for her.
Glad this is good news, and welcome to tradgang!
Welcome Connie, looking forward to meeting Kenny's better half. I'm sure we'll share a campfire at Compton or Denton.
hi and welcome :wavey:
Welcome to the :wavey:
WELCOME TO THE CAMPFIRE!! :wavey:
Happy to have you join us! My husband will probably always think himself lucky, his wife loves bows, guns, knives, primitive camping and generally being in the great outdoors. I have to say it's great to see other women who feel the same or are open to the possibilities. You will quickl be in need of a 12 step program if you hang around here. ;) It is addicting! But these are the best folks anywhere. Make yourself at home!
Welcome Connie , nice to meet ya :0) Drew
Welcome to the gang! Glad to have you here!
Welcome Connie, Trap
Welcome! Like I tell my wife "beats drinkin' and chasing women".
Hi Connie!
Nice to see you taking in interest in your husband's interest.....says a lot about you as a person.
Don't listen to Killdeer. He never post anything, never even heard of the guy. He might not even exist. He is for sure NOT interested in any new bows.
Hope that helps Ken!

Welcome to the Family
Welcome to the insanity.... :wavey: :banghead:
Insanity? :knothead: What insanity? Welcome to the gang Connie. :wavey:
Connie, I like golf as much as your hubby likes osage! :bigsmyl:
Although I hated it until hubby showed me how.
But the passion of the bow is what did it for me...instead of critisize, he taught me how to shoot, and learned to be able to enjoy it without intimidation or insecurity.
I grew up in the city and was never exposed much to archery but I always had a deep desire for it.
My hubby has been the inspiration for me to enjoy with him and I am so thankful for that.
You got yourself a great one too and really think with his encouragement and those here on TG to talk with, you will definately enjoy it and before you know it, I think your wonderful hubby will be fighting you off when a new bow arrives!!
Can't wait to meet you as well would love to golf with you (if possible when we meet) and again welcome to a place where a whole family can enjoy without worry!!
Shell (on hubby's login)
Killie, I will be bringing my best purse and shoes to your campfire, I'm hoping ;)
Wow.... that 4runr's a lucky guy! Thanks for joining in Connie.
Al (Als Decals)
Zinnia,
You and Connie should think about archery golf. You shoot arrows at distant "holes" and the closest to the pin in the fewest shots wins! No walking back either, just on to the "green" to pick up your arrow for the next shot.
Snakeeater
Shell? At MY campfire??
I'll have to spiff it up a little and clean the soot off the rocks! But Connie still gets the GOOD chair!
:campfire: :jumper:
Sharing a campfire with you three ladies would be a pleasure. If I was invited, of course.
We'll get back to you, Kenny.
:campfire:
Connie, Welcome aboard the Trad Gang! I always enjoy shootin with Kenny-Emma and Adam ! Great family and looking forward to meeting the Better half!
Denny
Killie, Spiffin' things up...I ain't like that....I would just be happy being at your camp (where does Vance get those icons?) insert "content" here.
Although I sure would like to get me one of those good chairs for ours for Frank of course ;)

Welcome Connie, looks like you have already seen the warm "Family" feel we have here.
Welcome Connie, and if you are half the man....wow.....now what do I say??????..hehehe...
Welcome Zinnia.
I have to say that I also see this site as an addiction, unfortunately, not just for one person in the house. I am one of the wives that is always reading the threads over my husbands shoulder and I enjoy alot of pictures and comments that people have to share. I am an archer, but not a hunter (I leave that up to my husband) and archery is how I met my husband. I find there is more to archery than just hunting and I think you will too. I am sure you will find the traditional archery community here as well as at all the shoots to be like extended family members.

Every time I see a golf course I think of all the horses that would fit on it. Reckon they would eat their greens? :bigsmyl:
Killdeer :campfire:
Hello from Missouri :wavey:
Ok Ok, Kenny told me there are 16,000 members. I am a bit disappointed here to see so few posts....
HAAAA Wow to you all. I suppose this is a reflection that you have all come to know my likable husband.
He gets this twinkle in his eyes when he talks about Y'all. It is a trick....I know it to get more 'stuff'.....
Actually, in High School, I was intriged by the archery class we took, but there was no place to follow up on it.
My Italian family wasn't into that I suppose.
So, any golfers...lets mapquest from Comptons a golf course!!!
after the campfire of course....:)I get the best chair! Wow....gotta find a nice purse...and new shiny boots with a heel...NOT.
Killdeer, Tonya, and Shell, I am looking forward to meeting you all....and the guys too.
Darn, another hobby to enjoy.....
Have a great night!
Connie :saywhat:
Welcome to the Campfire!
Haven't met but a couple of this group in person, but they are great! Looking forward to meeting a lot more in the future.
Someone posted that when they saw the title of this post, you might be sick, and need our prayers.....anyone married to 4runr' has to be on my prayer list!!!! Don't worry, all this extended family is on it too!
:bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Johnny, I have a feelin my next long trip will include a stop at your ranch. My daughter is gonna "flip" over your new baby.
Zinnia,
Here is a picture of my purse. I have never believed in spending much money on a purse, but when I saw this one, I knew that I had to have it. It is just the right size to hold everything I need for a day on the course.

Kenny, We might just have to tell everyone about that baby! She's a Miniture Horse! Was born Sat. morning. I have Heeler Dogs that are bigger than she is! Just a cute addition.
Bring the whole family, even Connie!!!!!!
I know, I know, I'm in trouble now!!!!!
Connie, welcome aboard!! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Kenny at Kalamazoo this past January. He is a great person as I am sure you are to.
There are some great golf courses down that direction. Just depends how nice of a course you want. I live only an hour from where Comptons is held and there is a beautiful course about half way between here and there called Hawks Head in South Haven Michigan. I dont play there much because it is a little pricy!! There are lots of courses to choose from though and I am sure they are all nice.
Welcome again and hope I get to meet you and see Kenny again at Compton.
Gee we are a frendly bunch today. G'day Zinnia.
Welcome!
Keep mentioning HORSES and I don't think I will be able to take much more (that's my weakness ya know) ;)
You'all got style!
Shell (at it again, and back to work)
Shell, ya'll can come too!
Maybe Ms Connie and Kenny can get up a Southern Rendivous!
Me too! :o

Welcome, and looking forward to meeting you at ATAR or Baltimore or Compton's, etc.
Jag,Tim,Shell,,,
I sure hope to meet you all soon as well, Jag, would love to see your farm.....we love critters.
Tim, pricey golf courses just aren't my style.....but I could even be happy with a driving range...if there is room for my clubs that is..
Shell, I could be easily satisfied with a campfire and listening to all of you chit chat while I sip on some coffee or something.
You all are so sweet...do you suppose I should venture off to another thread soon? I know I have to keep it bow related.....any recommendations of where I should wander???
Have a great night..
Connie
Killdeer,
I didn't see those pics before I posted...is that you in all of those? Cool! I do like horses, although I like to groom them and pet more than ride them....
Thank you all for the welcome, you are all so kind...

Don't quite know how I Missed this - maybe because Kenny told me he didn't have a wife - JUST KIDDIN', honest - anyone will tell you I can't be serious very long, and I love to tease folks. I met Kenny at ATAR last year (or year befor - memory isn't my long suite) and he's a good guy and would never say anything like that.
I love horses too, as my dear friend Killie knows only too well.
Anyway, welcome aboard and i promise not to say anything like my opener again - the debil made me do it - maybe other teases, but not that one - :goldtooth:
Did you see that, Kenny? IWAS JUST KIDDIN' !!! :D
My hubby loves me and he tells me all the time, so you all jag him all you want, he can take it and so can I.
Nice to meet you. Kenny says your a nice old guy....lol
Well heck kennys wife is on Trad Gang? Welcome connie Shell and I will see you at Comptons next month. That is if you guys are still going? Golf I use to golf all the time. But then I started shooting trad and well no time for golf. But always time for putting and chipping in the back yard.<><
LOL - I'll settle for "nice old guy" (better'n a sharp stick in the eye, by far)
One of my favorite nice old guys, too!

Killdeer
Thanks for posting that pic Killie. Thatn's goin in my favorite people pics folder! Got 2 fer one :bigsmyl:
That knife he's holding used to belong to another favorite person, Barb. It was on loan from yet another favorite person, Adirondack Mountain Ken. There are a lot of favorite people on this site. Coincidence? I think not!!
And with Zinnia, that makes 16 thousand, two hundred and WHAT??
Killdeer :bigsmyl:
Connie,
My wife just joined yesterday and hope she likes it as much as you. I am glad she is interested in learning about my addiction. Lot of great people on here. Welcome aboard.
Donnie
Very nice pic Killdeer....I take it that is you and Bernie? Very nice....
Hi Frank!
Yes, I am required to go to Comptons to meet you and Shell!!! Course I am wanting to go as well....to meet you both! What ever else good happens is a bonus! It should be a good family time, and the kids love it...(they are not like the drive idea...)too bad eh?
Hi Donnie,
Nice to meet you. Now make sure you tell your wife, I know nothing about bow hunting, other than it is difficult. Now because I am a decent golfer I can handle target shooting and I do like it.....Give me a heads up......what is her name?
It seems to be a nice family here on tradgang, I can see why you all want to spend so much time together..
Connie
Her name is Kimber and she says the only bow she knows anything about is the one she ties on her shoes. LOL See my post "New hunting partner".
Donnie
Hi Connie, and welcome!
Sorry I didn't get back sooner (I was posting on the St. Jude listings - LOL). Thank you killie, bless your heart - for the pic and the kind words (from others too). Yep, Connie, great bunch around these parts, you're gonna like it!
(Looking better for Baltimore shoot now, Killie!Talked to John yesterday - barring any unforseen potholes in the road.)
