Title: StabilKor lamination
Post by: Noah70 on November 23, 2021, 10:15:48 PM
I’m sure this has been covered previously, but I couldn’t find it readily.  I’m redesigning a new set of limbs for a customer who wanted a bit more recurve hook than my regular design, but not so extreme as to become static recurves. So I’m going to add a StabiKor lamination .015 for a bit extra torsional stability. The question is, does the StabilKor add weight to the draw, as much as adding .015 to the stack would? I’ve used carbon before but never this product.
Regards,

No weight gain, just adds stack thickness--.015 would add weight just like wood would

Mad is right.
I also just found out that same applies using 45/45 carbon twill.
