I have always used aluminum arrows with my recurves but would like to switch to cedar. I really don't know what spine weight to get for a 45# bow. Would the 3rivers test kit be a good idea to get me started? Also, what would I all need to buy to be able to put points on them. Justin

well, if you like your shafts stiff...
do the 45-50
if you like them a little limper... 40-45
you can chage the dynamic spine and FOC by simply adding a heavier point than your standard 125...
3 Rivers will have everything you need

Or Try Larry at "Lost Nation Archery", He will do you right.

I put my first points on arrows with a stick of ferule (sp?) lite and a candle. Slow go but it worked. Now I use a propane torch and can do 6 in the time it took to do one with a candle.

I use the stove and glue sticks. Put a small piece in the point, hold with plyers in flame to melt glue and attach to shaft. Hold a few seconds and they are stuck. Warning!!! use the plyers cause the point will be HOT.
