After nearly 4 years of not picking up a bow since moving to Amarillo, I've been thinking about gluing together a slat of bulletwood (OK, so not osage ;) ) and a slat of bamboo I bought from Wingnut back in '05 and start shooting again. I seem to have lost my copy of Dean's video and my notes from numerous MoJams. So I have forgotten the general placement and height of the blocks to pull the bow down onto the form. I'd like to go with a 64" ntn FWIW. Not looking for a serious amount of reflex.

should give you some ideas.

Thanks! That helps a bunch. I know I've got my notes and whatnot, but they're still packed up someplace. I've got a template for the boo as well that I got from Dean Torges at one of the Mojams--I know where that part is.
If you can hang on till the morning I will get you some numbers. I have them down at the shop. Not putting down the website but that's not the way I would do it.Or most others I would guess. You need blocks under the mid section of the limbs. I just glued one up this past weekend but the numbers escape me right now. I'll measure my blocks and get back to you.
Thanks Flinttim. I've never glued one up all by myself. I was Will Steffen's demos for a couple of years at Mojam, and I've had him make me a couple more years ago with wood I sent him. I bought the pieces I have now from Mike back in 2005 with the intention of making some sort of form and doing it myself, then a move due to work put the kibosh on that. I remember how Will's form was nice as it was very adjustable, I just can't remember the basic starting points as far as measurements go.

Sorry, I forgot to get those to you. Here you go.
6" | 2&7/8 | 4 | 2&7/8 | 6" -> upper
Mid limb supports are 12&5/8 from center to midlimb of lower limb, 13" from center to midlimb of upper limb.
For a target bow change the mid limb support numbers to 15&5/8 and 16"
